I get to hot glue about 40 mini flowers to hairclips tomorrow so I can use them for my Persephone cosplay next week. I've also spent the last five or so hours feeling really sorry for myself and crying a whole lot. Katsucon isn't even seeming that fun anymore, considering that I have to track down Ben at some point during those three days and tell him we can't speak anymore. I do believe I will be drinking myself into oblivion next weekend.

Well all of my cosplay ingredients are finally here. All I need to get are some tiny craft flowers to entwine in my wig for my Persephone outfit (yes, I'm going to an anime convention as a Greek goddess), garment bags to carry said cosplays and to dye my dress shirt to match my gothic lolita gown. Only two weeks away, I'm so psyched! *squee!*

How do you feel about human cloning? Do you think the long-term societal impact will be positive or negative? Why?

Well there's obvious ethical and religious dillemas. I mean, would clones even have the same rights? What if they got pissed and rebelled, or something equally insane? And for those of us who believe in God, a soul, the afterlife...where would that leave these clones? They would basically just be an invention of man. I can see society using them for organ farming, cheap labor and all of the other most unethical and immoral things we can possibly think up.

Paranoid? Pessimistic? Downright insane? Indeed, I am.

If you could experience being dead for one day to learn what happens in the afterlife, and were guaranteed to return to life the following day, would you do it? Why or why not?

Part of me would probably say yes, but I know I would come to regret it. Curiosity killed the cat, after all. And I do believe that ignorance really is bliss. What if I found out I couldn't be with my loved ones after death? Or I wouldn't remember them? I'd rather just take it when it comes.

Well I think I actually convinced (see also: begged) my mom to give me a small loan so I can actually afford my hotel room and still have money to eat and buy some swag. ^^ And now that all of my cosplays are paid for, got my wig and accessories and whatnot, I should be good. Yay!

How did you choose your LiveJournal username? Is there an interesting story behind it?

Not really interesting, but I wanted a name that reflected my rampant nerdery. I used to watch a show called Kappa Mikey (which was AWESOME, btw) and at random points in the show, a row of dancing sushi would appear on the screen. So...yeah. DancingSushi. Voila.

So I miscalculated the amount of money I would have by Katsucon. I thought I'd have two more checks by then, and...I was wrong. I'll barely have enough to cover the hotel room, so I'll probably have to cancel the whole thing. Which realy sucks, because I just paid for my non-refundable registration. So huzzah for being screwed.

Well, I'm hoping my cosplays arrive in the next three weeks, or I'm not dressing up as anything for Katsucon. But right now I plan on doing a basic gothic lolita on day one and then cosplaying as Persephone on day two. (I even bought an artificial pomegranate for the occasion) All I have left to get is a hoopskirt and hair extensions and I'm done, yay! And I'm seriously gonna cosplay this time since I'm dressing up as what I want, and not what my friends want. I didn't give a damn about cosplaying the Mad Hatter or some random demon chick.

Could you spend the rest of your life with someone who had horrific taste in music? How important is it to you to share your love of music with a good friend or romantic partner?

I can deal with a few quirky musical tendencies, but I've tried dating guys that either have terrible music tastes or no music taste at all, and that's even worse. Music is a big part of my life, and I can't be with someone who doesn't share or at least understand that.

If you celebrate Christmas, what will you do this evening? If you don't, will you still do something festive or is it just another night?

I will go home, clean up in preperation of tomorrow, and then I'll watch movies, drink hot chocolate and continue to theorize what my presents could be.

I think I've finally found the inspiration I need to finish my novel idea. Well, ideas, but we'll shoot for one right now. Hopefully I'll stick with it this time.

I bought Up today, along with a dualshock PS3 controller. What made it all kinds of awesome is that Wal-Mart charged me the price for the regular DVD version and not the Blu-ray. Serves 'em right; I hate that place with a passion. And I had to buy a new controller because my old one has mysteriously vanished. Figures. Now that I've shelled out $60 for a new one, it'll show up somewhere very obvious.

Got lunch at Subway in the mall...and it is the last time I will be going there. They all but burned the bread and the cookies made rocks seem soft.

I also got a CD ripping program to convert my music into VBRs and FLAC. Needless to say, I'm uber excited about that. Can't wait to get home and try it out on my Green Day collection. *.* Also gotta go home and start moving my rather sizable manga collection upstairs. That'll be all kinds of...not fun.

And if I go to Katsucon, I am so cosplaying as Mokona. *points to her icon* Cute, weird and totally awesome. Perfect cosplay for me, methinks.

I recently bought MagnaCarta2 at the suggestion of a friend of mine. I knew before I bought it that it was standard JRPG-fare, so that doesn't bother me in the least. I was a little wary because I still have 'Nam-like flashbacks to MagnaCarta: Tears of Blood. Truly horrible game with no redeeming value. With part 2, even if the story let's me down (as I suspect it will) the combat is too fun to stop playing. It's the same principle with Eternal Sonata; the combat, music and intermittent history lessons kept me coming back for more. (Mental note: complete PS3 version).

I also finally put in my reserve for Lunar: Harmony of Silver Star. It was pushed back until January, but that's okay. It'll give me some recovery time after the holidays, which is kind of a good thing.

Now I forgot what else I was going to say. Too much gaming, I s'pose.

So my new G1 is pretty effing wonderful. I'll never understand why the iPhone is so popular; Android rocks, as does Chrome Mobile. And it also kicks my Palm Treo Pro's ass, but that's because of Windows Mobile. Sorry? Ben. WM will always suck to me.

So I recently saw Zombieland and Paranormal Activity. They're both pretty solid movies, so if you can, go see both. Granted, I had to go to State College, PA to see Paranormal Activity, but it was worth it. Plus, I got lunch at Panera Bread, and that is always full of loveliness.

And has anyone bought Brutal Legend yet? I want it, but alas, too poor. Maybe next paycheck.

What's the most-played song in your music library?

Probably Cloud 9 or About You by Distorted Penguins, Never You Mind by Semisonic or Float On, Just Missed the Boat and Little Motel by Modest Mouse.

It's Dissidia PSP Day, yay! And Yes, I'm fully aware that the PSP Go is coming out in October, but I don't want one. It's the same as the DSi for me. I will buy them when I'm forced to. (see also: when they stop making games compatible with the current systems) I understand that both Nintendo and Sony have been having issues with people hacking their systems and downloading games and whatnot, but I'm not one of them, and it's BS that the few honest people left in the world are being punished. And as far as the PSP Go is concerned, I can't download my games. Sure, I have access to a PS3 and I have a laptop, but I don't have internet access unless I leech off of someone else's connection or use my phone. So again, this royally screws me. I used to really like Nintendo. I suppose I still do. But I'm still miffed that they got rid of the GBA cartridge slot. And Sony...well, I've kinda hated you guys for awhile, so I can't really say I'm surprised by your decision to dick everyone.

But if there isn't a UMD release of the new Lunar remake, I will be going on the largest, bloodiest massacre ever witnessed.

So I put in a pre-order for the LE Dissidia Final Fantasy PSP today. I don't care about the game or extras. I just wanted a silver PSP. And there's only one reason I wanted a PSP. For the Lunar remakes, fuck yeah. I can't wait.

But I gotta give Square credit. At least they are showing the FFIX love. Dissidia has Zidane and Kuja. Plus one of the arenas is Pandemonium. Awww yeah.
